Kirsty's Paws Terms and Conditions

Bookings with Kirsty’s Paws can be confirmed by telephone, email or online booking. At the point of booking you will be asked a number of questions, it is important you answer these questions accurately to ensure that you get the best support.

Kirsty’s Paws must be informed of any signs of aggression, reactivity or anxiety that your Dog has displayed, prior to training together, any session may be cut short if your Dog displays previously undisclosed signs of reactivity, aggression or anxiety.

You must inform me if your Dog has any illness, injury or sickness prior to our session, failure to do so may result in the session being cut short.

Puppy Classes are suitable for Puppies less than 16 weeks old at the start of class, for Fantastic Foundations they must be less than 6 months. Terrific Teen Classes are suitable for all ages but Dogs must be friendly with no signs of reactivity, aggression or anxiety - please contact me to discuss how I can help if they display any of these signs. If you are unsure if a class will be suitable please do contact me before booking. Unfortunately XL Bully Breeds are unable to attend group classes due to insurance.

Group classes are limited to two adults (over 18 per class). Classes are not suitable for children to attend. Classes are adults only because this ensures a nice relaxed environment and sets our Puppies and children up for success because we can teach our Puppies and our children can successfully repeat this at home. I also send out handouts and video links for everything we cover so you can all practice at home together.

Please be aware that in the event of extreme temperatures both indoor and outdoor classes may be affected, outdoor classes may also be affected by heavy rain or thunderstorms, if a class has to be postponed an extra date will be added on to the end of your course to make up the six weeks. If a class has to be postponed this can also have an affect on future start dates for which you will be notified as soon as possible.

Areas covered for one to one training include Ferndown, Wimborne, Bournemouth Corfe Mullen and Sturminster Marshall. If you are unsure if your area is covered please contact me.

“No shows” or one to one appointments cancelled by the client with less than 72 hours notice will still be charged and counted as one session. If Kirsty’s Paws has to cancel an appointment you will be offered an alternative appointment or receive a refund. Classes cancelled up to 7 days prior to the start date will be refunded, if less than 7 days you will only receive a refund if I am able to fill your space. Appointments cancelled prior to the notice period will be charged £5 just to cover stripe fees.

Any packages or programmes must be used within the specified time frame. Classes that are missed cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Kirsty’s Paws will work directly with you and and your Dog(s) using kind, ethical and effective training methods, behaviour changes are never instant and take long-term commitment.

Equipment that can cause stress or pain to a Dog is not allowed to be used, this includes choke chains, slip leads, grot collars, spray collars, bark collars etc.

Kirsty’s Paws will apply personal judgement and cut short a training session, if necessary, because of the Dog’s ability to cope, as well as extreme weather conditions; including, but not limited to: excessive heat, torrential rain, thunder storms and snow/ice. The decision to do so lays with the judgment of Kirsty’s Paws for the safety of you and your Dog(s). In such circumstances the appointment be rescheduled.

You remain responsible for your Dog(s) at all times and it is advised that you have adequate insurance cover for liability in the event of damage or injury caused by your Dog to a third party or property.

It is your responsibility to make sure that your Dog(s) is kept under control at all times, including when Kirsty is entering your home, or when you attend a class. Failure to do so and any injury caused by your Dog(s) being out of control will be your responsibility.

Kirsty’s Paws is insured with Cliverton, any accident or injury during our training session will not be covered if you have failed to act responsibly, use the appropriate equipment, or failed to follow the advice of Kirsty’s Paws.

Unfortunately, Kirsty's Paws is unable to work with banned breeds, or Puppies that may grow up to be 'of type' due to insurance policies. You must accurately provide information about the breed of your Dog upon booking with Kirsty's Paws. If a Dog is considered to be a banned breed then all sessions will unfortunately have to be terminated with immediate effect.

Kirsty's Paws will only use the information you provide to contact you about your enquiry. Your details will not be shared and your information will be kept privately and securely.

Photos, videos, and social media policy: I may take photos and videos of your dog during 1:1 sessions and classes, these are used for advertising purposes, which may then be posted to social media, websites and other advertising platforms. Please let me know if you do not wish for your Dog to be included in photos or videos.

By providing your information you are giving Kirsty's Paws consent to contact you about your enquiry.

If you no longer wish to be contacted please do ask me to remove your details.

Please note no products containing peanuts can be brought into the YMCA in Winton.
